Zhang Yibei's works Helmet and I Gnawed the Stainless Steel Wrench with My Missing Teeth are featured in "Yuan Link", a project presented by ZiWU at Zhang Yuan, Shanghai.
In Zhang's works, materials are the basis for her sculptural language and an important way for her to project her self-perception to the outside world. She uses materials and readymade products that make up urban life to create her works, which appear to be unrelated, but through constant dismantling and reorganization, they become a new “artifact” that narrates the artist's intimate emotions.
