Lin Ke's Water Bag Paintings is on display in the exhibition “Doors Open Windows Locked” at imagokinetics in OōEli, Hangzhou. The artist describes this work as follows: “My paintings with watercolors are immersed in a bag of water. At this time, the paintings not only produce unexpected and accidental effects, but also keep the colors fresh. Over time, the picture changes and eventually escapes into the void by the movement of the water molecules.”
Door Open Window Locked takes Geng Jianyi's work Window to the World and Huang Xiaopeng's work Is There a Toilet Nearby? as a starting point, and features twenty artists who have studied with Geng Jianyi and Huang Xiaopeng, responding with new works.
