BANK is pleased to announce that Sun Yitian’s work *The Duck That Won’t Cook* will be included in *The Coordinates of Time*, the KW-ARTCENTER 10th Anniversary Special Exhibition. The exhibition will be on view at KW-ARTCENTER from October 23, 2026 to February 23, 2027, curated by Yu Lingxuan.
Marking the tenth anniversary of KW-ARTCENTER, the exhibition selects ten strands of contemporary Chinese art that merit sustained attention, bringing together representative artists and works. These strands encompass both explorations that have deepened over time and profoundly shaped the landscape of contemporary Chinese art, as well as new fields unfolding alongside shifts in social life and technology. The practices of different generations converge here, leaving vivid visual memories while continuing to generate new ideas and artistic languages.
Sun Yitian’s *The Duck That Won’t Cook* continues her ongoing depiction of smooth, manufactured objects in consumer society, using a surreal touch to examine the desires and production mechanisms behind material things. In this exhibition, her work enters into dialogue with practices from other strands, together presenting a picture of contemporary Chinese art today.
