BANK is thrilled to announce that Shi Hui is featured in Century Threads: From Court to Contemporary — French Tapestry Treasures and Chinese Echoes, on view at Shenzhen Bay Culture Square from 1 May to 16 August 2026. Her work An Alternative Form of Writing is presented in the exhibition’s special section, Chinese Echoes.
Jointly presented by Shenzhen Bay Culture Square and the Mobilier National, the exhibition brings together more than forty major French tapestry works and traces the artistic trajectory of tapestry from courtly tradition to contemporary practice. Conceived from a Chinese perspective, Chinese Echoes places works by Chinese artists and designers in dialogue with the French tapestry tradition, foregrounding tapestry’s expanded possibilities across installation, materiality, and contemporary artistic language.
