Chen Tianzhuo joined Sónar Festival Barcelona this year. It is a pioneering festival that’s reflected the evolution and expansion of electronic music and digital culture since its first edition in 1994.
On June 13th, Chen Tianzhuo attended “Dance dance revolution” forum at Sónar Festival together with Gabber Eleganza, Kianí del Valle, and Meritxell de Soto, and moderated by Sabel Gavaldon (MACBA). This forum explored how the speakers were expanding the limits of choreography, in dialogue with technology and science, as well as club and pop culture.
On June 15th, Chen Tianzhou presented his new 6-hour show PHYSIS. Intimately connected to club culture and the international electronic underground, this show features a revolving cast of performers and musicians that includes Ylva Falk, Ndoho Ange, Ican Harem, Kasimyn, Siko Setyanto, OMI, Lavinia Vago, Léa Djyl, Felix-Florian Tödtloff, City, KIM KHAN, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U and Dis Fig.
