Thy Queens wield their blades in starlit sovereignty,
Thine kings with downward gazes veil their decree.
Yet still you yield to Anthony’ s artful plea,
Weaving night's ballet in moonlit revelry.
I know thee, silently drowns in thee,
“Hence! Haste to a shadow’d nook!
Where mortal eye cannot o’ erlook”

This work situates a fragment of a game within the structure of an altarpiece, examining the relationship between play and the sacred. Both create immersive, interactive symbolic universes. On this modest tabletop, cards become the building blocks of a transient, fluid sacred space. Amid the gentle whispers of fate, a personal “ritual performance” takes place.
