BANK is pleased to announce the participation of artist Zhang Yibei in the April exhibition "The Wisdom of the Everyday" at the MOCA YinChuan, exploring the new generation of Chinese installation art and discovering the diverse possibilities of everyday objects. In "The Wisdom of the Everyday", we are not exploring macro and abstract propositions, but rather presenting the interrogations that the artist strives to find in his creative process, and using different perspectives and perceptions to renew the common but universal perceptions that we take for granted in our daily lives. Whether we look back at the past or examine the present, the 'everyday' as a consciousness enters life and art, forming an accumulation of inertia, mapping the accumulation and reproduction of the 'self'. Therefore, "The Wisdom of the Everyday" will explore how to establish a vision of re-creation within the experience or inertia of the everyday, to turn the everyday into the abnormal, to turn the ordinary into intellectual development, to enter the potential depths of everyday objects, and to make art creation a different perceptual vehicle of wisdom from the norm in another possibility. The exhibition also hopes to further delve into the differentiated perceptions of these artistic individuals from different specific life scenes when facing "everyday life", in order to reflect on our reverie and definition of "everyday life" at present, and to continue the essence of thinking and creating that contemporary art upholds.
