Lu Yang’s video artwork DOKU-the self is currently on view at Mori Art Museum’s exhibition “MACHINE LOVE: Video Game, AI and Contemporary Art” in Tokyo, Japan. In this work, Lu Yang’s own avatar, “DOKU,” makes a voyage through spiritual space, questioning the relationship between body, spirit, and identity.
MACHINE LOVE introduces around 50 works of contemporary art that employs game engines, AI, and virtual reality (VR), including a number that utilize generative AI - a technology with the capacity to surpass human creativity.
