Ivana de Vivanco 伊万娜·德·维万卡 Chile|Peru, b. 1989

Ivana de Vivanco is a visual artist working primarily with painting, installation and sculpture. Her surreal paintings are often created using classical painterly techniques and are assembled from various visuals. Her work has been exhibited in several solo exhibitions.

 

She graduated from the University of Chile, Santiago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2011, she also studied painting under Gonzalo Díaz Cuevas, University of Chile (2012); Oliver Kossack, Art Academy of Leipzig (2013) and Annette Schröter, Art Academy of Leipzig (2014–2016).

 

Her work has been featured in several publications such as 100 Painters of Tomorrow published in London by Thames & Hudson and she has been a grant holder of DAAD, the Heinrich Böll Foundation, the Cultural Foundation of Saxony and in 2015 she was awarded with the Marion-Ermer-Prize for young artists in Germany.
