Chen Ruofan 陈若璠 China, b. 1996

Chen Ruofan currently lives and works in Shanghai. She holds an MFA from the Royal College of Art and BFA in the School of Visual Arts.

Her current work focuses on the intricacy of human emotions and how they ebb and flow at the most obscure end. Through various forms, techniques, and mediums, she meticulously selects and portrays subjective carriers of feelings and the subtle changes within. With grass and woods, breathing and exhaling, her works naturally celebrate the spontaneity of human emotions. Also, by depicting how emotions penetrate and transfer through objects, her pieces resonate and highlight the connection between nature and technology.
