2025 Photofairs Shanghai: Michael Najjar

BANK is honored to present a solo booth by Michael Najjar at Photofairs Shanghai. As the only artist globally to have personally witnessed SpaceX rocket launches, volcanic eruptions, and polar glacier expeditions, Michael Najjar, in his role as an "Anthropocene explorer," redefines the relationship between photographic media and the violence of nature through his lens. This presentation features iconic works from his cool earth series, juxtaposing moments of Iceland’s volcanic eruptions with arctic glacial melt. Utilizing cutting-edge photographic technology, the works immerse viewers in the sublime power of nature, offering visceral encounters with its awe-inspiring forces. In addition, the artist’s latest documentary Greenland Expedition, shot in 2024, is being shown for the first time in the world at the fair.
