After years of COVID, online fairs and satellite booths BANK makes its triumphant, IRL return to Art Basel HK with a standout booth that presents its dynamic, cross-cultural and cross-generational program. By looking back through the recent history of global contemporary art with some of the pioneering figures that helped lay the foundations across the East West cultural chasm, as well as those that are defining its imminent future, BANK, like ABHK itself, tells the story of worlds, generations, and affinities interweaving together. While many of the artists presented here have already passed, this presentation signals a new beginning, a reckoning with, and a resilient determination forward.
