BANK is thrilled to announce our participation in the Esther II Art Fair in New York, May 6-10 at Estonian House. For the second time, we will present a solo exhibition of our youngest and most talented artist ever, Wenjue, who will amaze audiences with his prolific visual collage-relief paintings.
Wenjue masterfully hybridizes comic-inspired compositions with bas-relief painting techniques. This presentation features several small works from his ongoing Poker Games series, which chronicles narratives of gamblers embodying divergent social identities. Here, the card table operates as a microcosmic theater of human existence—simultaneously staging the dialectics of collaboration and competition, functioning as social adhesive and affective bonds, yet also capable of lancing the festering abscesses of human interaction.
