BANK is proud to present Patty Chang's solo project at The Armory Show booth F11, showcasing selected works from her extensive project The Wandering Lake - an associative meditation on mourning, caregiving, geo-politics and landscape. Inspired in part by the book The Wandering Lake by Swedish explorer Sven Hedin, Chang searches for the same body of water that Hedin mapped, encountering ethnic conflicts along the way. In this work Chang’s practice returns to the body and performance, using water and bodily fluids as ritualistic agents through which the artist invokes larger questions of nature, loss, and politics.
