BANK is pleased to announce its participation in the inaugural ART SG in Singapore and we will see you at booth 1C03. In this highly anticipated inaugural edition of ART SG, BANK will present a number of exciting works by Southeast Asian artists. Renowned Thai artist Tawatchai Puntusawasdi will present his well-known sculpture Haumea and its manuscript, which simulates a lunar eclipse on Pluto, where the light spot penetrates the solitude of the silvery star. Puntusawasdi's sculptures have been presented at the Venice Biennale, Bangkok Biennale, and Sydney Biennale. Thai artist Busui Ajaw's paintings will show her experience of living as an Akha and as a contemporary woman.
Also, the late, great Chinese-American artist Ching Ho Cheng (1946-1989)'s wood grain series will also be on view. A new English calligraphy work by artist Xu Bing will also be featured in the booth. In addition, at our booth, you will be able to see the latest works by Lin Ke, Sun Yitian, Michael Lin, Tang Song, and Michael Najjar.
In the PLATFORM section, our artist Lu Yang will bring her personal project, which features her video installation Electromagnetic Brainology!, embroidery sculptures, and a related documentary. Electromagnetic Brainology! has been exhibited in worldwide important institutions and museums, including the National Museum in Berlin, the ARoS in Aarhus, Denmark, Art Basel Hong Kong, Bundeskunsthalle Bonn in Bonn, Germany, and the M WOODS Museum in Beijing, etc.
